Purified graphite for foundry

Purified Graphite for Foundry

  • Specially designed Graphite, carefully adapted to the critical demands of the ductile iron foundry industry, where an extremely low content of sulphur and nitrogen are required, along with high levels of purity for a carbon additive;
  • Purified Graphite with rich carbon content of excellent quality, with solid gray to black grains. Low content of ash and sulphur, no dust material and rapid absorption, maximum carbon recovery and minimal addition to the melting;
  • Uses: ductile iron foundry industry production of high carbon steels and carbon steel parts additive for drilling fluids to provide lubrication.

Silicon Carbide (SiC): Blasting and Foundries Additive

Silicon Carbide: Blasting Media, Refractory & Foundry Additive

  • Black Silicon Carbide (SiC) is produced at high temperature in an electric resistance type furnace with quarts sand and petroleum coke. It stands out through a series of excellent physical characteristics, like: high hardness high electric and thermal conductivity low thermal expansion outstanding thermal shock resistance.
  • Silicon Carbide Grit is the hardest blasting media available (9.3 Mohs scale). Its grains are black hexagonal crystals with fragile and sharp properties. High Purity with Minimal Contaminants. The hardness of Silicon Carbide Grit allows for shorter blast times relative to softer medias.
  • Silicon Carbide, Refractory and Foundry Additive is widely used in: refractory bricks monolithic refractory materials reinforcing filler coating materials and production of SiC-based refractory composites by combining black SiC with other materials.
